  • Low profile tire for the Tundra tailwheel

Hey guys. I’ve been looking for a low profile tire to install on my Tundra tailwheel. I want to maintain the width but I don’t need or want the 11” diameter tire. Anyone know of one?

I heard of some guys using racing kart sticks so I looked those up. I found a 8” tall 3.5” wide tire for a 4” wheel that looks like it could work but the price has me concerned, $15. I want to try it because it’s what I’m looking for but price has me concerned. It’s rated for 350lbs which is a bit less that I’d like but should be sufficient.

Matco uses go carts tires on theirs. I'd go for it. Good thing about a tailwheel is that you dont actually need one.

The only reason the airplane tires cost so much is because it says airplane on it. Which is even creeping heavily into the experimental world.
