I'm preparing to upgrade my panel on my RANS S-6ES to add a GRT EFIS as well. But I don't have room for the 10" version, so I've been going back...

If you decide you really need to have cowl flaps (see Mark G's post below), one possible space-making solution would be to move the cowl flap control...

Yup - keep is simple and light. Whee's simple on/off switch, wiring, and small actuators are both light and simple, but a cable might be about the same...

Stinger, I hope I didn't come across as saying the LSA was "kite-like" - I was intending the exact opposite. With what I know now, I'd pick...

Bob's designs are pretty amazing. The Bearhawk LSA wingspan is almost 4 ft longer (34 ft versus 29.25 ft for the RANS S-7), and has a LOT more wing area...

When you see the Patrol wing in person, the whole thing looks HUGE compared to the wings on my RANS. Similar wing loading, but carrying 1.5X the gross...

Facet makes pumps both with and without the internal check-valve. The check-valve prevents fuel from flowing "backwards" through the pump body...Last edited by JimParker256; 01-29-2021, 08:17 PM.
