Patrol S.P. QB Kit P85
Just arrived from Belgium, this motor looks like a work of art.... 220HP all the way to 15k should make the Patrol SP a bit of a hot rod!

Happy Christmas fellow Bearhawkers!

Yes they're making it for me at the Belgian factory, testing it etc ...about six weeks away. There's a BH4 running the same motor in Poland, but he made his own one.

From the manual, seems very straightforward...

Running in
a) All engines
- No need to use special run-in oil.
- To run in a new engine: It is important that the engine runs as much as possible at
operation temperature (Oil temperature 80 to 100°C (176-212°F), CHT 110 to 140°C (230-
284°F) and at ± 80% of the max. power during the first 15 hours.
This means: For the first 15 hours: avoid continuous running at full power. But on the other
hand, do not run the engine for a long time at idle on the ground. Go flying: after take-off
and initial climb (full power) reduce the power to approximately 80%

I imagine the Patrol will be pretty lively even at 80%
