Since we live in the cold up here in Canada we have found a door seal made of silicon thin and easily compressess. It is peel and stick and fits in the doors. Made by MDbuildingproducts.com

Dan I didn't really seal mine as such. The door overlaps the boot cowling (the wrong way) but the skin contour is a good fit and I don't seem to get any leakage. However in other areas I have used a hardware store home door seal with an adhesive backing successfully.

    Hello,

am asking for input from any other builders as to what you did to seal the leading edge gap on the seaplane doors?

will an over lapped lip or joggle catch mor wind and try to pry the door open?

    thanks Dan
