Hello Bearhawk enthusiasts. I have an older A model and I have finally installed a skylight. I built a mold, and then an oven, and thermoformed my acrylic to fit the Bearhawk contours. Like so many of my projects if I had an idea of how long this would take I never would have started, but now that I have a good finished product I am happy I saw it through. My skylight fits perfectly and the acrylic is not under any stresses, so hopefully that will mean no cracks. I found the contours add a lot of stiffness to the plastic, so I'm hoping the drumming is non existent, we will see. I used the 1/2" tube from the old doors to build a stiffener for the rear support. If the center portion drums I'll add some aluminum stiffeners. On to the next phase, leather seats!
