  • New Log Platform

    Hey y’all.

I have created an app for builders to track their build, track maintenance, test flights, W&B, and anything else that this group thinks would be valuable to add. I’m the builder so I’m going to be partial to my ideas, but I think I’ve got some features that aren’t a thing yet. Users can upload pictures and tie them to a visual diagram of the plane. Ie. left wing ribs 1-5 riveted, that picture gets tagged to the left wing. The user can go in and open the pictures anytime they want based on the area. My thought process is that it would allow the user to have a mapped set of pictures they could refer to once areas are covered up. It also has the feature to take a pic of the plans page and a BOM is generated. It can plan out the build and adjust based on your actual build speed.

there are a lot more features I’m working on, but these are some of the bigger ones. My question to the group, is there anyone interested in being a beta tester for it? I haven’t launched it on the App Store yet but I’m hoping to in the next week or so. Since I’m only 1 year and about .00000001% complete on my build I don’t have all the seed data and pictures to run true end to end testing.

    Brady,
Can you share anything about the platform? You talk about the App Store - so is it an iPhone or Andriod app? Is it available with a web interface? What price model are you planning for this?

I use the EAA Builder Log which is very basic as I'm sure you've done a market assessment of the current builder logs. There have been many builder logs over the years that have come and gone. Turns out that most builders want something really simple and easy to use. After spending 1,000's of hours on the build, the last thing builders want to do is deal with something complex for the log.
