Need Measurment

Could someone please measure the diameter of a -6 aircraft bolt for me. If you can do more then one some much the better. To 4 decimal places please.

The spec for a standard AN6 is .371" to .374"
close tolerance spec is .3735" to .3745"

Thanks David. I'm trying to get some actual measurements for a spreadsheet I'm putting together. It's a reality check of the bolt specifications vs what we are actually receiving from suppliers. Just something for my own information.

I have an assortment ranging from -15 to -46, most common number was .3732, lowest was .3722, highest .3741

Gerry, next time I'm at the museum (WAAAM - the restoration shop) I'll get out my calipers and sample 20 or whatever I can find. Do you need corresponding lengths? I will not be able to xreference with suppliers, however, which is the whole point. So let me know if that's helpful. Just the -6's?

Hi Mark, all I'm concerned with is diameter. This is part of a bigger study on fit analysis of mating parts in airframe structures. I'll publish the results when I have enough data. I have no -6 bolts in my shop and that's the data I need. Please note if the bolt is close tolerance or standard. No supplier info is OK, I'll take what I can get.
