Years ago I met the man that was building the desertHawk, as he called it. He was a boing engineer and he was able to use some very cool programming and knowledge to re-draw the plans to accomodate the MP-14 radial. He was able to stress the various joints and tubing clusters. As I remember , he up sized the tubing in the header, above your head, the door way was made flat with larger tubing, and also some other up fromt clusters. It was a propegation hobby as the landing gear also had to be lenghtened to accomodate the prop swing.

By the way I saw the fuselage after welding and was very impressed. I know he sold the engine, but dont know what he did with the fuselage.

          Hi fellows,
Just happens to be a 1956 DH beaver for sale in controller for $300,000 with a mid-ish time engine and airworthy. Comes with wheels, floats and skiis. If you seriously want a capable radial engine. I'll wager thats a money and time saver over modifying a Bearhawk to take the M14
