Legendary Bearhawk N509RF For Sale. N509RF was the first private party kit from AviPro completed in 2004. Any manufacturer updates were included as this was the manufacturer demonstration aircraft. As such the exterior paint and interior is excellent. May, 2014 the right landing gear shock strut collapsed due to material failure. All new landing gear, new right gear attachments. Shock struts strengthened with steel doublers and universal joints at wheel attachment. Improved ground handling. Landing gear tracking adjusted to neutral with slight toe out. Large cargo area with two door configuration.

Lycoming O-540, 250 Hp originally overhauled by Bob Barrows. Gear collapse required a sudden stoppage inspection. Damage minimal but elected to treat as overhaul with six new Millennium cylinders, all components inspected or replaced. 84" Hartzell prop with 88 hrs since new installed. Mags, vacuum pump overhauled. Electronics Int'l UBG-16 added. Started on second blade. 780 TT, 230 hrs since rebuild. Prop 318 hrs.

Garmin GNC250XL nav/comm/GPS, KX125 nav/comm, Garmin GTX327 transponder. Round dial instruments in six pack configuration. 121.5 ELT,

Exterior paint excellent condition, show quality interior.

This aircraft is carefully rigged with precise responsive balanced flight controls and flies “hands-off”. A great back country aircraft. During rebuild, EVERYTHING was checked/ replaced IAW 43.13, all cables, attachments, fasteners were reviewed replaced improved.

Backcountry Bearhawk that hauls like a pick-up truck and handles like a Pitts.
