A Big Reminder, since this holds a special place in my heart and history :

Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and
      A) Install a new 4 or 5 point harness, or
      B) Replace your aging system with a new 4 or 5 point harness.

In today's world of safety restraints, with the powersports/racing industry leading the way on safety restraints, there absolutely no reason to not be properly secured in your airplane.

While the FAA reminded me of this with a Safety Bulletin based on decade old information, the point is this. NO one in an accident should contact the panel or glareshield due lack of proper restraints. NO one should have a harness so old that it comes apart due to stitching, fraying, rotting or other age-induced parameters. And I don't care if it has a TSO, PMA or any other government issued tag, the racing industry is on the cutting edge of this area, so get yourself a really good 5 point racing harness and use it.
