  • Wing profile measurements needed.

This has to do with the Hoerner Wingtip thread, but I am posting it in a separate thread as it is time sensitive in hopes I can get the info.

I am out of the country and need the wing profile dimensions from front to rear and from top to bottom at the deepest point.

Based on my wife’s measuring (not sure I trust her) I am showing the Mylar profile to be 65” cord and 9” depth. From speaking to Chris Spira I believe the wingtip needs to be 66”, based on the wife’s measuring my BH wingtips are 67”

I can potentially mail my Mylar wing profile to D&E and they can make a wingtip, but of course the Mylar does not give all the info as it likely lacks the wing skin thickness which if not included would not allow for the wingtip to fit over the wing.

So I am asking for exact measurements if possible.

Edited to add: This is the Companion/Patrol B wing
    Thanks so much!

The kits wingtips are longer than the airfoil. They get trimmed during installation. I think if I were fabricating a set I too would make them so they get trimmed
