Hey All...
I'm giving credit where credit is due. When I did my fuel flow check I noticed that a little bit of fuel was still coming out of the fuel line after I set my fuel valve to the closed position. That wasn't right, so I removed the valve, cleaned the torque seal out of the screws and opened up the fuel valve. I found a seal was defective, so I contacted Newton Consulting, the manufacturer of the SPRL valve, via email. I explained what I found and included a picture of the faulty seal. I got the valve from Mark G many years ago and I just wanted to get a seal kit, if it was available. I also said I would be happy to pay for it, plus shipping, from the UK. Without hesitation Ron Selby contacted me and said yes, that looked like a defective seal. He said they were at a trade show, but as soon as he returned to the office he would send me a new valve. For clarification, I told Ron all I needed was a new seal, not an entire valve. He said he would send a new valve out.
Two weeks later I got a box in the mail with the valve and this note in the box. This is customer service that is way over and above...and so rare these days. So thanks to Ron Selby and Newton Consulting for being so supportive of EAB builders and aircraft!
