How I tell which horizontal stab is which is look for the trim drive guide bushings. Oil hole is up. YMMV as my stuff is scratch built.

I have no idea why the inserts would make skis harder to install. The reinforcements are friction fit inside the axles, no change in OD. Some Piper gear...You do not have permission to view this gallery.
