My LSA shock struts have always leaked a little bit. After 80 hours, one of them is leaking more. I sealed up the rod end threads when I built it. I know that we use ATF fluid in the struts but wasn't specified what kind of ATF. I used Dexron 3 because in the past I have found that synthetic fluids in hydraulics tend to leak. I am now wondering if one the low viscosity synthetic ATF fluids might be better. This fluid would bypass easier and would be less pressure on the seals at the top of the strut and maybe leak less. Just curious what fluid everyone else is using.
