  • Fuel sensor puzzle

My father made these main tanks for our original model Bearhawk Four project. The angled threaded fitting on the left edge is for a capacitative fuel level sensor. The threaded fitting is 1" diameter. Per the note, the probe is 8 3/8" long. Dad is sure he had a specific fuel level sensor in mind, but not sure which one. This was over 10 years ago and he's 83... so now we have a puzzle.
    What fuel sensor fits this?
Or, what combination of sensor and adapter?
The tanks are also fitted for sight gauges, so if it comes down to it I could just plug these fittings. But if we can figure it out I'd like to have fuel level info into the EFIS.
I did look through all the sensors on Aircraft Spruce and didn't see any that looked right (also emailed a question and haven't heard back yet).
    Any ideas, anyone?

This (attachment) looks like it might work. Will need 1" to 1/2" NPT reducer. I think the fit will be tight under the upper wing skin - but appears to be pretty close.
    Will give this a try.
