Guys, I have had my control stick assy together and apart several times. For nuts down in the 1 1/4" tube - I suggest MS21042-3's. They are very small profile and work fine. I used them with AN3-5A's. No washers were used.
I mentioned to Bob that the control stick bottoms were not exactly centered in the big tube. He answered me with something obvious (to him) but was helpful to me. He said the stick bottoms are never perfectly centered. He said that was nearly impossible. But he said to put the bolt head on the side with less room - which was something that had not occurred to me. When I reversed the bolts like Bob suggested - there was extra clearance with nothing close to interference Mark
