Primed about 50 or so aluminum detail parts outdoors the other day in 93 degrees and 18% RH. Pretty unusual for Seattle. I'm using Stits EP430 thinned 50% with the usual Alumaprep 33 and Alodine 1201 prep. That paint flowed out beautifully and was dry to the touch in about 1 hour in my no air shop. I applied it with an airbrush. Great painting weather up here in the temporarily dry NW. Anybody got a tip for etching and coversion coating the rear spar capstrips? Their like handling wet noodles. I'm constantly afraid I'll damage them.
