"D" Hole in Center Ribs?

I bought a set of the Avipro kit ribs and I'm ready to start riveting the stiffeners on them. The 0.025" ribs have the same smaller "D" lightening hole at the back as the 0.032" ribs. Studying the plans, it looks like the larger hole is needed to clear the aileron cross-over cable. Anyone know if that's the case, or if I can just leave the smaller hole?

I realized I only need to open up the holes on 10 of the ribs, so just went ahead and did it. I'm really learning to love my little pneumatic nibbler.
