    Does the curved tube get notched to clear the lug, or does the lug get trimmed to clear the curved tube? I left the legs of my lugs full length per plans, with one already welded in place to the straight tube.

    I think I'd notch the tube. Heck of a lot less effort, too

      Thanks Chris! I'm not sure how either way is significant effort - it's very little material to cut through - but I'm leaning toward leaving the lug alone.

        Yeah, I hear ya. The weld holding the entire thing together is where the strength is, so I imagine it's probably a horse apiece.

          I looked at a factory part and it looked like the tube was cut and not the lug.
