The saga is finally complete. After UPS freight delivered a small package to the wrong address a second time I asked the person that received it in error if he could simply ship it directly to my office via Federal Express ground. I gave him my address and spruces shipping account number. He made a mistake on the label and included my name and company name and street name (which is in Longmont, CO) my home zip which is in westminster co and put the city as Broomfield CO and he was shipping from Denver CO. These towns are all about 10 miles apart. Even though UPS did not deliver it to the correct address, Fedex was able to figure it out and delivered it to me even though the address was completely wrong. Also aircraft spruce worked diligently and was able to get UPS to refuld the entire $180 in freight shipping. I am not back from vacation and back to finish my spars.
I have all the cap strips for one spar drilled and the spacers, spar attach points, and splice plate finished. I have now started drilling and attaching the cap strips to the spar. I almost made the same mistake Dave (Desert Bearhawk) made and drill holes for rivets near where the strut attach goes. I was following all the holes on the main spar plans and had not taken into account the bolt holes and different rivet spacing on the spar splice plate drawing. I wish I had made notations on my main spar drawing to note the holes so I would have remembered earlier. Luckily I did not get too far but it was close. I hope to have some videos and photos up soon of what I am doing.
