I have cut my 3 holes in the ribs that the diagonal passes through. Has anyone thought of making something like a rubber grommet in the center one to dampen any harmonic vibrations of the tube ? I may make my center hole a little bigger to make sure it can not touch the tube.
I am going to weld in the bushings next then set it all back up for tacking after that. Unless anyone see anything amiss...... :-)

pS--- I have to punch the holes for the trim shaft yet---- before I tack. That whole tab shaft seems like it could be tricky to get lined up perfectly....
I guess the rib material may be soft enough to be bent slightly for alignment purposes ( ?)
