    Hello all,
I've been toying with something homebuilt for a time now and I keep coming back to the Bearhawk family.
I've a pretty good background in things mechanical and fabricating with having fooled around with a variety of hobbies over the years. Needless to say all of these various jaunts into other realms have if, nothing more, built up a nice assemblage of skills, tools, welders, benches, press, etc.
Based on what I've been reading the past few months I am planning on utilizing a converted Corvair engine. In that regard I've already been able to scrounge and collect some engines that will be the basis for my project.

Hi John, Welcome to the family. Recently Bob Barrows went to a flyin specifically to look at the Corvair engine as a possible option in the LSA. He learned a lot about them. If you get a chance, you might want to give Bob a call and get his take on them.
