Hello all. Just joined the form. Have visited a few times and enjoy reading the post. I have a 1966 Cessna 172. I own the plans to a Patrol, set # 196 that I plan to scratch build. I have had the plans for a while. Plan to start building after I retire December 31, 2016.

Hello and welcome! If you plan on scratch building there are plenty of little jobs you can get started on before you retire

Building a new house in my spare time now. I also got to get the shop cleaned out to have a place to work on it. I do plan on starting the wing rib forms before then. something I can work on rainy days until I get the house in the dry.

Building your house and contemplating building an airplane! No doubt about it; you'll fit in here! A word of caution (which I suspect you already know) after building my first plane, my wife learned a new phrase; "If you can build a plane, you can _________. " Anything she can imagine, can fit in that blank... If you can build a house and an airplane, you have no limits! 😎

            Welcome!
