    Hi All, I'm a long time airplane nut like I suspect everyone here is. I was an F-16 Aircraft Maintenance Tech (crew chief) with the MI Air National Guard (at Selfridge) when I was in school. My flying experience is limited to a C-150/152s and a Schweizer. A lot of research and plans collecting has gone on over the years ...getting closer to actually getting started on an Experimental Amateur Built. My taste in designs has evolved as I learned more about building/flying/owning light airplanes. Steve Wittman, Ben Howard/Gordon Israel, Walter Jamouneau, Dean Wilson, and now Bob Barrows are some of favorite designers ...appreciate the efficiency, practicality, and ingenuity of their designs. Looking forward to learning from the group. "Dai"

    Welcome Dai! A great friend here in town is an F-16 Crew Chief for the WisAirGuard. I was a Navy F/A-18 avionics guy, myself. My friend and I always tease each other about which is the superior airplane!

    Glad to have you aboard!

      Dai,

      I think Bob has done a great job of taking existing "elements" from previous designs and coming up with a great utility 4 place that can operate almost anywhere. Of course he just improved the 4 place with the Bravo version so it keeps getting better.

        Welcome to the club Dai. A great place to get good information and a great airplane to fly. Dennis and I just finished and are flying two quick build patrols and both of us are very happy with our choice. We also are from Mi, ( Jackson, Grass Lake area ) and are now in OR. Winters are sooo much nicer in the Valley. You mentioned Schweizer, so I'm assuming you are also a glider pilot? I trained at Brooks field in Marshall MI. and wondering where did you train? Donna

          Daisuke;

          Welcome. I started scratch building in 2015, last summer aborted the scratch build in favor of a kit. I expect it to arrive later this month. I live just west of you in Chelsea. Regarding Schweizer, are you familiar/active with Sandhill Soaring Club in Gregory? I got my Glider License out there in 2004 and am considering joining back up this spring after a ten year absence.

          Dennis and Donna, I did not know you were from this neck of the woods too!

            Congrats on your quick build kit purchase.
            Did you get the quick build wings too?
