Question: I'm building an LSA and am to the point of installing the tail wires and braces. The plans are vague on the construction of the lower horizontal stab forward brace. How does it connect to the plane and stab? Please help, Thanks.

I don't know if you are scratch or kit building, but if you look around slide 145 here(https://www.dropbox.com/s/p9v1iettu4...elage.pdf?dl=0) you will see how I did it on my scratch build.

The bottom pins to the forward hole on the lower flying wire/strut attach tab. The upper bolts to the leading edge of the horizontal. I welded a threaded bushing into the end of the strut and made an end to screw in in a similar manner to the flying wire ends.

Thanks for info. I am scratch building. Can't seem to open the Dropbox link. Your explanation is similar to what I'm doing. I'm using 2 of the threaded ends I made as per plane on one end. Flattening the other end and drilling a hole to bolt to easing edge hole. Making the brace tube out of 1/2" x .035 tube with tapered wood trailing edge.

I used streamline tubing for mine. For the lower I f[attemed the end a bit then welded on some doublers on the outside. this gave me "ears" to slide over the lower mount so the bottom bolt is loaded in a double shear.

Not sure why the dropbox link didn't work, You can try this one https://www.dropbox.com/s/p9v1iettu4...elage.pdf?dl=0
