Hi all , name is Ben and I am tentatively planning a kit build starting this spring and the BH is tops on my list right now. I'll start a thread in General about my mission as well but for now a bit about myself.
Born and raised in Northern MN and 2 years ago got transferred for work to far NE Indiana. My wife and daughter and I have very close family and friends back in MN and this move while a good adventure and character builder has still been tough on us. We have been driving the 725 miles back to MN for 3 and 4 day trips on average once a month just to keep up with our friends and family there.
To say I am sick of driving is an understatement.
One day it hit me like a ton of bricks that I may get my PPL , buy an airplane....and start flying home once or twice a month. Its 480 NM from here to there so my motivation is all cross country at this point..
I'll be doing my discovery flight and starting to build hours this coming week hopefully.
Once I set my mind to something I am like a pitbull on a tire swing. I look forward to learning what I can here and contributing if a BH 4 place ends up being my first foray into the aviation world.
Cheers
