  • Tailwheel suspension

My question is will the bobwheel/tundra wheel fit the T3 suspension tailwheel? I was looking at Mark Scott's setup at the Greenville flyin, and it looks like a bobwheel on a T3 setup. I was hoping to meet him but it didn't work out. Mark has a very nice BH

Is there a T3 on a 4 place BH that is working well?! I'd love to have one but I keep hearing of fit or durability issues.

I thought there was at least one flying. Blackrock, perhaps? I don't recall reading about any bad feelings about it, but I haven't been following it too closely.

I believe that Blackrock when through several versions due to durability issues. I don't know if it ever sorted out. Dave Lenart tried several times to get one on his plane, but they kept not fitting.

Well, that's a bummer. It looks promising.

As I said Mark Scott from CT. has one on his BH. It is the heavy duty double shock version made for the BH according to the rep. Mark's BH has a six cyl. I beleave. I don't know if that makes it lighter on the tail or not. I would say he lands on grass and pavement strips the majority of the time.

Blackrock would tell you all you need to know. He was part of the beta testing, effectively. There were some growing pains but I think it's working well now.

I fly one on a Rans S-7 and really like how it performs. I plan to put one on my BH after I get it flying. Full disclosure, I am associated with Airframes Alaska via their support of BCP.

Do you know if Bob's tailwheel and the Tundra tailwheel will bolt on it? I think it will but not positive

It should bolt right up, just as if to a flat spring.

I don't know much about the Bob tailwheel since I have always run Scott 3200s, and now the Baby Bushwheel. If it uses a receiver for a 1.5" tailspring, it should work.

The t3 is 1 3/4 for the bearhawk but it was easily modified to accept the tundra lite which is 1.5 inches

Was the T3 machined an 1/8” on each side to fit the 1 1/2” spring pocket?
