  • New Member in Phoenix Arizona - Considering Building a Patrol

Hello members. Looking forward to following and participating in this forum. I've been eyeballing a Bearhawk Patrol for a few years now. I'd love to connect with any Bearhawk owners in the Phoenix area.

Thanks Brooks. I really like the overall design and specifications. The STOL specs are good and the cruise speeds are awesome! I have an O-360 C4P that I am going to have overhauled with mods and improvements to push 200hps. Fixed pitch composite prop. Will need to find a happy medium there.

Welcome!! There are a good chunk of Bearhawk owners in the Phoenix area, although not sure specifically about patrols. I know of at least 2 4-place guys (finished) in Phoenix/Chandler, and I believe an LSA was finished up in the Heber area (or somewhere around there ). I’m scratch building a 4-place down in Maricopa, but I have a long way to go...

Have you checked out the Builder Map (I believe a link at the top)?

Hi John. Thanks for the information. I'll have to take a closer look at the Builder Map. I recently met Carl, in Glendale, who was scratch building a four place until he purchased a much farther advance four place kit he found online. Got to see that and was inspired! Thanks for commenting and good luck on your build.

Definitely! If you’re interested, Scott (one of the Bearhawk owners), Kevin (another builder and on this forum), and I are part of the EAA Chapter 1445 that’s in Chandler. We have a meeting at Casa Grande airport this Saturday at 10. I’m going to try and make it, and no guarantees on the other guys, but that’s how I met them.
