Hello, My name is Joel Beyer. I was on the email group and have been following things on here for a few months. I hold plans #1131 and have ordered a second set of plans to begin on a second aircraft with our ministry.
Our first project is still back in Kansas and is still an active build, but we ended up moving our ministry to Washington and leaving it in capable hands to be completed by a group of youth who will return it to us to be sent out into the mission field. Our ministry trains pilot/mechanics for missions work in conjunction with my flight school and maintenance shop at Pierce County AIrport. We ordered a second set of plans in order for our students to be able to build the needed skills working toward their A&P certification. My plan is to order many more sets of plans, or at least the serial numbers from them, in order to build mulitple aircraft to be used in training and missions applications here in the US and around the world. We currently have six apprentice mechanics that will be working on this plane on a regular full time basis (working around keeping our fleet of six flight school planes up and going as well) so we are hoping to have this one up and running fairly quickly, at least by scratch-built standards.
I do have one question for anyone out there before I call Bob about it. How long is the anticipated delivery time of a set of plans? I ordered our new set a month ago and have not heard or seen anything in the mail. I dont want to bother him if the normal delivery time is something like 6 weeks or so, but I also dont want to be thinking they were lost in the mail or something.
Thanks
Joel
