  • Super Shear File

Picked one up locally today and just used it to clean up the edges on some 0.032" I'd cut with a circular saw. Wow! Makes short work of the saw marks and leaves a shiny finish that just needs a quick pass on the scotchbright wheel to finish.

They are great files, I have been using them since they first came out, they work especially well on bigger pieces of aluminum. A tip, grind the teeth off the last 1/2" of the file so the end is smooth, your finger and thumb will thank you!

The 8" was all they had locally. Seems to work really well down to 0.032" as long as it's clamped down well. I'd like to get a 12" for when I start dealing with longer heavier material in the spars.
