Track Saw Ideas

Thanks to John Snapp bragging about how good a track saw worked I figured I would build one. Looking around in the barn for scraps and ideas for material I found some scraps of the material I used for trim around the windows in the shop. It is vinyl, basically a 1x6 with grooves on the back. With very little sanding the groves fit together almost as good as a dovetail slide. The longest Home Depot had was 10' but that will do most everything I need. Not stiff enough to use it by itself, but it sure works good screwed to OSB.

Hey Doug I see it now, looks good! We have a place in town with 2nd-hand building materials, I'll poke through there and see what I can find for a track.
