Does anyone out there know why you usually don't hear anything about zinc electroplating on steel parts such as the flying wires and end fittings? It is so easy to do.
My understanding was that zinc electroplating process is susceptible to introducing hydrogen embrittlement - but its been several years since I originally looked into it. I can't remember at what tensile strength this would be a concern (flying wires?).
