Minimum Clearances FWF

I thought I had this written down in my notes but I can't find it. Can someone clue me in on the recommended clearance between the stuff that moves (engine and everything attached to it) and the stuff that doesn't (engine mount and cowl). I seem to recall 3/8" min but 1/2" is preferred.
