When I went to lubricate these hinges the lubricant escaped out the crevice between the hinge strap and the hinge tube on several of the hinges.
I filled the crevice with a mixture of epoxy that I thickened with flocked cotton. My Eagle no. 33 6oz oil pump is fitted with a small AN931-3-5 rubber grommet that acts as a seal when I place the tip into the lubrication hole.
Now that little pump applies my favorite lubricant under a slight pressure to the hinge area without leaking. Lubricant gently escapes out each end of the hinge tube rather than out of the crevice.
