Decided to go for a hike the other day. Landed and walked about 5-miles which was a nice experience as I was all alone. This is a really remote spot, 30-minutes by air or a 4-hour drive but it can't be accessed by ground until the stream flows come down. Spent a good deal of time glassing the area with binoculars and was fortunate enough to be able to watch 8 bull elk at different times through out the afternoon. Five of them walked within 100 yards of me. I was laying on the camera so they wouldn't spot me so I wasn't able to get pictures of them.
