First Ride

Luke Huismann from Strum, Wi came up to visit this afternoon. We discussed the Bearhawk for a few hours in the hanger. He took pictures and we generally had a good time visiting together. Luke has a Bearhawk project that from his pictures seems to be at about the 50% completion level. He has a Lyc 540 engine to put on his project so his performance will be somewhat better than mine with the 180 hp engine. After we finished talking I offered to take him for a ride in my plane as he expressed the fact that he has never been in a flying Bearhawk. When we returned he was smiling from ear to ear with excitement about the way the plane performs. Keep up the effort Luke you will be there soon.

Thanks again Bob for the wealth of information you offered and especially the ride, I still cant believe how quickly we got off the ground and the rate of climb. Definitely makes me want to work on my project.
