  • Hi Jared:
I have written some text and taken a series of pictures for you if you want to put it in one of the beartracks issues. The pics may be too many Kb for you to use but I dont think I have anything that can shrink them. Also I probably have more pics than you have room for--
so i guess you could just pick the ones you like or whichever ones seem relevant.
There could be too much text too - so feel free to edit as needed to fit your purposes.
I spell checked it- so that should be ok unless I missed something. (possible)
For me- It would be easiest for me to send the text and pics to you in a regular e-mail.
If you want to send me an e-mail I can reply with the stuff in the reply.
    Thanks,

The picture of C FZAC at Oshkosh 2011 on amphibious float is mine. It has a IO520 engine and performed very well, have videos. Cruise speed was 135 mph and lovely plane. Fifteen years of work and the very first night it was outside a microburst got it. Haven't got the energy to rebuild, maybe you know someone?

No the guy that wanted the kit had different ideas for his tail wheel. So yes and it is new in the box and I was asking $575 if you know anyone interested. Also thanks for the help.

I don't know if you want to delete it but the 4place kit for sale that was started by Big Cat was the kit that I had purchased. Just my opinion but it looks to me that the classifieds could stand to be cleaned up.
    Jared,

I can't determine how to post pix for the life of me. Got any tips?

    PS, I'm using an iPad

Not to eaves drop, but I use my Photobucket account. Copy the IMG url under "Share this photo" and paste it into your post.

Cate, I'll send you an email with a screen shot of how it should look. Let me know if you don't get it.
    Hey Jared

While I have your attention... :-)

My signature block seems to have disappeared from posts and I cannot for the life of me find anywhere to edit/create it? Am I just being stunned or has that feature gone away?

Also, I notice at the bottom of every page now there is a debug window....

    Cheers

    Hi Jared,

I'm just browsing the forums. Is your BH a 200HP and Flying? I just wanted to pick your brain a little. I bought Gavin Chester's 200hp 4 place back in November and want to hear about another 200hp owners performance numbers weights etc...

    Cheers

I figure it's about 185hp, but it is flying. I'll try and call sometime. When is good?
    Jared;

My auto racing customers won't stop bothering me. Next on my list is to do the trim wheel gear box. Once I get it done, I will post the results.

Jared, How do I get all the back issues of the Beartracks? I would also subscribe. Thanks, Barry.

Hi Barry, I'm glad to help! The easiest way to get the back issues is to order them at BearhawkStore.com. If you use Paypal, you can pay in the ordering process and you'll receive download instructions automatically. If you prefer to pay by check, the store software will hold your order until I get the check, after which you'll get the same email with download instructions. If the store is to much trouble, you can always just send a check directly to Jared Yates, 4663 Pittstown Road, Hickory Nc 28602. The back issues are $8 per year, and are available for 2005-2013. There is a slight discount on the store for the 2005-2011 bundle. Similarly, you can start a current subscription either by a link at the web store, or by check in the mail. With Paypal, you can choose a single year, or an automatic renewal, where Paypal sends $8 once per year. Please let me know if I can answer any more questions!
    Hi Jared,

Thanks for your comments re the Zenith 801. I read your thread re building time and engine choice. About how many hours did it take you to complete the BH 4 place quick build? Did you get any builder assist ?

Hi Paul, thanks for writing! I purchased a kit that another fellow had already started working on. He had closed up the wings and had the boot cowl to the cleco stage. My hours after I got the kit were around 1900 of shop time, though certainly plenty of that was me figuring out how to do things. That was spread over 4 years. I would suspect that if I had purchased the kit new, the total number of hours would have probably been about the same. Even though the other builder spent several hundred hours, it took me a good 6 months to figure out what I needed to be doing, and I un-did and re-did a few things. I hope that post about the engine selection didn't come across as rude. I'm not always the most socially-capable person in some instances.
