Starting to acquire parts for putting the gear together. So what are people using for brakes on the Patrol. There are single puck and double puck, but there are also big and small piston versions of them. Looks to me like the big (2") piston single puck would be fine for less than monster tires...
So I'm walking past the Bearhawk booth on the last day of Oshkosh and Mark tells me that I "need" a tubing kit for my plans built Patrol. After at least 20 seconds of indecision, I agreed and told him to ship it.
This weekend I finally got to lay out the top and start fitting tubes. Holy crap...
Finished up the wings yesterday and rolled them into the garage. I sure was getting tired of those things.
Spent today digging the tables out and getting them straight and flat.

I was rigging my first flap today and ran into a clearance issue on the bolt that goes through the pushrod rod end. When drilled to the plan the bolt contacts the weldment with the flap all the way up. This is the hole that is located in the center hinge 2.375 inch from the spar. I moved the...
I'm in the process of building the fuel tank straps, etc... for my Patrol. Does anybody have a good idea for a way to make the tensioners other than trying to drill through a 3/8" rod? That strikes me as an issue to keep good and square.:D
