Any one connected the breather to the exhaust to reduce oil on the belly of the plane? How are you dealing with the heat?

My wife and I had a great day with our Bearhawk today. We flew into a private airstrip (Lake Wood Lodge) with trees on both ends of the strip. Three notches of flap power off and we came down like a parachute. Two notches of flap with a 180 hp engine and we were off like a cub.
