I had these two metal tables laying around that I purchased from Grainger many years ago. I thought they might be suitable for the base of a wing assembly jig. I like my tooling to be big, heavy and stupid. These tables fit the bill. So far I have found them to be fairly flat and very close in height. Rigging them together has been pretty easy. Right now I am trying to establish a waterline plane. Old school, strings, straight edges, bubble levels etc. Getting close, a little shimming required. Got a neighbor with a new lazar eager to survey it. Don't know if I can turn it into a silk purse, but right now it's kind of promising and a lot of fun.
