Im fitting my main spar splice plate and I have a little vertical movement between the cap strips, is this a no go deal? How critical is it to have that plate fit tightly between the cap strips? I would say I have between a 32and and a 16th of movement.... Please Advise. TIA....

Question on the wing steel, specifically the flap steel. As the flap torque tube rides in to chro-mo bushings and the tolerances are extremely tight can this tube be painted? Seems to me if I paint the torque tube I will not be able to get it through the bushing. Please advise. Thanks
