    Late summer Idaho

    Spent last week backcountry flying/camping/fishing in Idaho. First on the Selway at Shearer and had the place to ourselves for 3 days. Then Fish Lake and spent the last night at the new Big Creek Lodge. I highly recommend it, great way to finish a camping trip.

    Continental Divide

    In preparation for going to Frank Church Idaho in a couple weeks, I took a ride to Steamboat Springs CO from Denver area today for lunch. Crossed the divide at 15,000 feet. These pics are Longs Peak and Rocky Mountain National Park. ​ ​ ​​​​​​​

    Drilling out spar attach fittings

    I welded and machined this jig and bushings that allowed me to get a very accurate alignment and hole. It took a lot of stress out of the drilling process.

    fuse covering

    I tried covering the fin separately from the fuse sides. Made a spice on the lowest rib and used a batten strip to attach fabric to rib. I think it saved a lot of work and looks good.

    gear adustment starting point

    I would like to work on my gear fairings while the fuse is still mounted on the rotating stand. Anybody have an idea where to start or how much the gear moves with weight on it? Thanks
