Four A vs Four B

I am mostly using the Newton build manual but also have found the current manual from the Bearhawk Aircraft website to be helpful.
The new manual says I should make two 16' and two 13' aileron control cables and install them while I'm building the wings. The Newton manual doesn't specify the lengths, and leaves installation of the cables until final assembly.
It seems to me that either order of operations should work, and that the lengths of the cables should be the same... but I have run into some unexpected differences between the current wings and my wings. Am I overlooking something here?
I can't imagine how I'd cause a problem following the new instructions, but it wouldn't be the first time I'd created a problem that I didn't foresee.

I am at the same step and opted to install the cables now rather than wait. I cut the cables at least a foot longer (14 & 17 feet respectively) and routed them through the wing after installing the pulleys. I intend to temporarily mount the wings on the fuselage and complete the fabrication of the cable by installing the fittings where the cables attach to the control stick and the through cables.
I can then remove the wings and start the close-up process.
