  • Main spar splice plate

Im fitting my main spar splice plate and I have a little vertical movement between the cap strips, is this a no go deal? How critical is it to have that plate fit tightly between the cap strips? I would say I have between a 32and and a 16th of movement....

    Please Advise.

    TIA....

Just measured it with feeler gauges and it is 1/32 shy....

If they are not painted yet, the paint will most likely take up that space.

Probably a question for Bob but I would think that you should have a snug fit between the spar cap strips and splice plate. Ask Bob before proceeding. Eric Newton - Long Beach, MS http://mybearhawk.com
