Hi there it would seem to be the case that there is a lack of structural information regarding the plans for the 4 place Bearhawk in order to qualify for the utility class and acceptance under the reg EASA cs23 and old Bob doesn't have the information to give at least I have asked and he has not been forthcoming, I can see that there have been several plans sold to people and this is evident on the Bearhawk builders map has anyone else been able to register the 4 place and has anyone payed for the structure tests in order to pass the dossier. To build I'm planning to build the Bearhawk as a two seater and use the space as large storage for two small electric push bikes so perhaps it will be accepted.

Hi George,
I reside in Germany. Building experimentals im Germany is based on national regulations. (like Annex II listed planes too ) and not under EASA regulation. Basicly it is possible to build an 4 seat experimental, but I have to confirme a lot more details during building and spins tests during flight approvement. Building as an 2 seat plane gives me a lot of facilitation. Nevertheless the way to go (4seat/2seat) I have to do a wing load test or structure tests with 3,8g for normal category or 4,4g for utility category. Additional I have to calculate the structural strength.
I can imagine, depending on where you build, it could be the same regulations.
