  • Door / Window dimensions

    Folks,
What are the dimensions of pilot - passenger doors and windows? Can't find anything specific in plans or manual (Eric's). Looks like you just "fill the hole". Does top of door parallel the top of fuselage where window hinges attach? Is top of door about 3/4 " above front hinge location?
    thanks,
    Dan

Hi Dan, Yes, just fill the hole, with about a 1/8" gap between the window and door frames and the surrounding structure. The hinge location isn't critical.

The hardest part for ke was getting the window hinge at the top correct and still provididing clearance for the windshield thickness.

Thanks Eric. I was curious where the dividing point was between the window and door. I expected it was not critical. I also am concerned with windshield interference. I do not have my windshield yet to try a fit.

Figure the windshield to be 3/16" thick. Then add .025 for the aluminum strip that hides the edge of the windshield.
