  • Door Seals

Getting ready to fix the doors and windows and looking for ideas from the group on what kind of door seals have been used. My Windows and doors are made using round tube, and there is about a 1/4" gap with the frame.

    Thanks

    Hi Hari,

Nice to see you around again! It's been a long time. Happy to see that you're still moving forward.

Presuming that you have a metal skin on your door, it'll probably be just like my Maule with flat foam seal around the periphery. I can't think of anything else that would work as simply unless you went searching for something that would go along the inside door frame with a concave surface that the door tubing would "snap" into.

Looking forward to see your plane flying!

Thanks Chris. I am slowly chugging along, have the engine mounted and did a first run last week. The panel is almost finished and will have the wiring completed and ready to install the windshield.
