  • Length from centerline of rear spar to trailing edge

I have noticed that the drawings show a distance of 21" from the centerline of the rear spar to the far end of the trailing edge. The full size rib template measures 21 5/16" from the centerline of the rear spar to the far end of the trailing edge. This includes 3/4" from the end of the rib to the trailing edge.
Has anyone else noticed this or am I mistaken?

Welcome to the forum. This variance should not be too big a concern as all the parts are made to the full size wing pattern provided with the plans. An important check on the full size pattern is that the critical dimensions such as the spar center to center measure correct. The left & right wings will be identical made from the same drawing & patterns.

The DFX that was posted on the old forum measures 20.504 from the rear spar C/L to the aft edge of the wing rib. What is the page number that it shows 21"?

The best advice is to call Bob when coming across errors. I found some differences on the patrol drawings too.

Thanks for the replies. The 21" is scaled from the drawing sheets for the ribs, flaps and ailerons. They each are the same, and scale to 21"
