And then a flash flood happened and carried me farther down river. Yesterday I started working on the form blocks after reading everything I could find and gathering tools. So no I have officially started, but today has been damage control day. This morning thunderstorms poured down on East Texas and a culvert that drains away from our house got plugged up and flooded our driveway and basement in a matter of 10 minutes.

Everything of value was stored on shelves or in plastic totes. The rest was garage sale/good will stuff that needed to go anyway. As far as the structure, I think it is going to be ok. I put a 24" industrial fan on it all day and night so hopefully it dried it well enough.

That sucks...I have been there. Make sure to get the basement walls dried out good so you don't get mold.

Been there. My garage floods most springs from the melting snow. This year was no exception Wet vacs are your friend. I find if i vacuum it up usually the concrete will be dry by morning. Good luck on the cleanup efforts I know it can be very frustrating.
