Can anyone tell me the length of the spacers between the prop and the backing plate when using the hartzell cs prop. Thanks wes

Wes, I may be wrong, but I think there are too many variables for a one-size-fits-all answer. It will depend on motor mount length, cowl length, nose bowl, spinner, desired clearance between spinner and nose bowl, etc. My foggy memory wants to say that I installed engine, cowl, and nose bowl, then added washers until the desired spinner/nose bowl clearance was achieved. Perhaps someone else can add clarification.

Ray is correct in the process.
it is also vital that you know exactly what Prop
you are going to utilize on the engine.
There are several different hub / blade / spinner
      and back plate combos.

Plan on the hartzell hc-c2yk I have the backing plate from vans. It looks like spacers or going to be 11/2 " long. That don't seem right . I know backing plate determines front cowl position
